Deluxe Loaded Potatoes Side Dish

In fact, Nielsen data shows that dollar sales of fresh potatoes are up by 12.4% in the last year. Additionally, Nielsen data shows that dehydrated mashed potatoes are up 5.1% in the last year. This new product from Country Crock is perhaps the happy medium of convenience and taste. These fully cooked loaded mashed potatoes (sour cream, bacon bits, and chives) come in a reusable tub and heat up in the microwave in four to five minutes. Or heat up on the stove in a saucepan for six to seven minutes ... but that just creates a dirty dish! Four servings for $4.69 makes this product not only convenient and yummy, but economical as well. However, not only are these potatoes "loaded" with sour cream, bacon bits, and chives, but they also contain an intimidating list of artificial ingredients, which includes monosodium glutamate. Too bad. Retails for $4.69 for a 21 to 24-oz reusable tub.
