SELF-CHECKOUTS

Subject: SELF-CHECKOUTS Compliment I like how Kroger's has the check-out lanes where you can scan your own groceries. It makes getting through the grocery line so much easier and more efficient. L.B., Sugar Land, Texas Subject: BAD MUSAK AND CHECK LANE BACK-UPS Complaint The Canned Music they play in the stores, i.e. Strings Does Britney Spears. Lack of cashiers at busy times, i.e. people backed up into the aisles waiting to check out & only 2/3 checkouts are open & one of the orders is an over full cart. D.H., Pittsfield, ME Subject: BAGGING REFRIGERATED AND FROZENS Complaint One big complaint I have is the way the store bags the food. Even when you ask "Please bag all the cold and frozen foods together" 9 out of 10 times it doesn't get done. I know this is a small complaint but it really bugs me. N.B., Inman, SC Subject: BAD COUPON ATTITUDE Complaint Some of the cashiers are unaware of how coupons should be handled. When questioned or prompted, one or two of them border on rude! This is not an everyday type of occurrence but occasionally, one young woman in particular, causes me to summon a manager. I love the store and shopping there but have considered not returning because of her really bad attitude! A.J.F., Colonia, NJ Subject: SMALLER CANS Complaint Why does every supermarket that I've been in no longer carry small cans (8oz) of stewed tomatoes? With more and more baby boomers becoming empty nesters, we need more small sizes. No one that I knows wants to eat the same vegetable or rice or pasta dish every night for a week! Brand name and UPC code: I used to buy Del Monte stewed tomatoes in 8 oz can but would be willing to buy any brand of stewed tomatoes in an 8 oz can. Would also like to find other things in smaller cans such as black beans or red beans. J.O., Little Neck, NY
