A sophisticated twist on the typical chocolate pudding with the bite and tang of freshly brewed coffee

Nothing says welcome like pudding; it's soft, sweet, and goes down oh, so easily. This is a sophisticated twist on the typical chocolate pudding with the bite and tang of freshly brewed coffee. It takes no time at all to prepare and can be done a day ahead for company or in the evening for lunch the next day.
You probably should double the recipe because everyone loves it!

This recipe makes 2 large or 4 small servings.

Café Au Lait Pudding Ingredients:
1 package of vanilla instant pudding mix (2.5 ounces)
1 package of chocolate instant pudding mix (2.5 ounces)
3 1/2 cups milk (low fat is fine)
1 cup of brewed coffee, chilled; (coffee made by drip or French Press method makes the best flavor for this recipe)
Fresh whipped cream and chocolate curls, as desired, for garnish

Directions:
Refrigerate 2 large parfait glasses or 4 small glass bowls.
Prepare the vanilla pudding according to the package directions using 2 cups of cold milk; whisk for two minutes.
In a separate bowl, prepare the chocolate pudding using 1 1/2 cups of milk and 1/2 cup chilled coffee. Whisk for two minutes.
In a third bowl put in 4 tablespoons of the vanilla pudding and 4 tablespoons of the chocolate coffee pudding. Add 2 more tablespoons of the chilled coffee. Whisk until it becomes almost a tan color.
Layer the puddings in the chilled parfait glasses starting with vanilla, then add the chocolate then top with tan mixture.
Chill for at least two hours.
To serve, add shaved chocolate and/or whipped cream, as desired.
